What to Expect from Our Upcoming Sales Engagement Summit

3 minute read

You can attend our final event of 2023 for free!

Our last event of the year is rapidly approaching, with less than two weeks to go until the 2023 Sales Engagement Summit. Taking place in conjunction with our annual Marketing Engagement Summit, this event will be held at The Brewery in London on December 6th. We anticipate over 500 marketing and sales professionals on the day, eager to network and hear from industry leaders such as American Express, Aon, Cushman & Wakefield, EY, Financial Times, Finastra, Know-It, Sage, Spotify, Thomas International, VMWare, and others.

A HIGHLY ANTICIPATED OPENING KEYNOTE

The two summits will converge at the start of the day, with the British tech journalist and TV presenter Liam Chivers delivering a presentation on the rapid progression of digital trends. As the manager of some of the biggest influencer names in the world (including KSI), Liam Chivers is responsible for billions of video views and millions of social media followers.

Known as a leading authority in social marketing, Liam is in demand on a range of platforms, including BBC’s ‘Celebrity: A 21st Century Story’. Considering the ever-increasing power and influence of digital creators, Liam’s session is not to be missed.

OFFERING A RICH AGENDA

Our 2023 Sales Engagement Summit offers attendees a rich programme, with speakers leaving no stone unturned when exploring the current market climate. More specifically, those taking the stage will explore the changing face of B2B sales, how to choose the right tech, and the importance of onboarding and sales enablement.

Taking a case in point, commercial real estate brokers Cushman and Wakefield will present a case study on how B2B sales have evolved. Head of Sales Enablement EMEA at Cushman & Wakefield, Caroline Debenham, will argue that everyone is a salesperson in some shape or form, although sales is often considered to be a dirty word in corporate environments. Caroline will reveal the changes she has seen in the way clients buy services and talk about how you can approach these changes in the market.

Head of Sales Enablement at Thomas International, Stephen Pegler, will also take the stage on December 6th and discuss scaled versus localised enablement. As the sales landscape rapidly changes during tougher economies, the need for ROEI (return on enablement investment) has increased dramatically.

For this reason, Stephen will explore the differences between running larger-scale sales enablement activities and localised bespoke enablement, shedding light on the pros and cons of both. Taking this further, he will explain how and when they are best used, leaving the audience with a template to help them in 2024.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEWS

In addition to case studies and presentations, our event will feature exclusive fireside chats with industry experts. One such expert is Becci O’Shea, Group Head of Sales Enablement at Marcura. Titled ‘From Sales Star to Sales Enablement Champion’, this session will focus on Becci’s experiences, the challenges she has faced and the triumphs she has had while transitioning from a successful sales career into an enablement leadership role.

Converging again for the final few sessions of the day, the attendees of the two events can explore how to effectively align their teams to drive growth. That is, they can hear from Edurne Rodríguez, Head of Sales Training & Enablement at Spotify, who will talk about the work they are doing to align their marketing and sales initiatives for commercial success.

ALIGNING TEAMS FOR GROWTH IN 2024

Following Edurne’s fireside chat, the event will close with a 30-minute panel discussion on the alignment of marketing and sales efforts. The panellists taking the stage will be:

  • Gillian Fitzgerald, Director, Brand & Integrated Go to Market, EMEIA, EY
  • Phil Hobden, Head of Strategy and Growth, Know-It
  • David Keene, Chief Marketing Officer, Wipro

Together, they will share how embracing shared values can drive lead generation, cultivate customer satisfaction and achieve long-term success.
